Renting an instrument is advantageous for a number of reasons. Renting provides flexibility in case the student wishes to switch to a different instrument, as well as all of your repairs and maintenance are covered by our in-store service department free of charge under our customer protection plan. Additionally, all of our rental instruments are “rent-to-own”: all of your rents may be applied to the rent-to-own price of the instrument you are renting with a 40% discount off the remaining balance at any time, should you wish to purchase the instrument during the period you are renting it.
If you wish to purchase your instrument outright from the start, instead of renting, we offer a buy-back option within the first year, less the regular monthly rental fees for the time you owned the instrument (minimum 3 months subject to condition and repairs).
Just like an automobile, musical instruments require repairs and maintenance. Our customer protection plan covers all of your ongoing repairs and maintenance free of charge, excluding consumables, by our in-store service department.
Yes! You can switch to another rental band instrument of equal or greater value and have your first 12 months rent transferred to the new instrument. If the new instrument is a lesser value, a prorated amount will apply.
The minimum rental period is 2 months. After that, you are welcome to continue renting the instrument until the balance has reached zero and you own it, or you are welcome to return it at any point.
Theft is covered under our customer protection plan. A police report is required along with a $100 disbursement fee.
Please return your rental instrument to Wentworth Music. Your school is not responsible unless special arrangements have been made with the music teacher.
